Benefits and career opportunities

We support curiosity and reward great ideas, and are passionate about creating a workplace where you can belong. Our benefits and dedication to training and development are designed to help you develop your career path.

Employee benefits

Flexible working arrangements

You will have the opportunity to discuss time in the office and time at home, to balance your work and personal lives. For you, it may be coming in earlier or later, going to an appointment during work hours, working part-time, or many other arrangements to suit you.

Family friendly parental leave

We offer 14 weeks paid parental leave that can be shared when an employee takes on primary carer responsibilities. Three weeks paid partner leave is also available and can be taken flexibility (i.e. you don’t have to take it in one block).

Wellbeing leave

As of April 2023, we will be introducing wellbeing leave so you can make time for whatever matters most to you. Wellbeing leave is available to all permanent or fixed-term employees to allow one day every six months, to support your wellbeing.

Enhanced bereavement leave

Our enhanced bereavement leave is one step we are taking to support the Unity dimension of the Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP). Additional bereavement leave (up to three additional days) is provided for people who may have to travel overseas, carry out responsibilities relating to the bereavement and/or cultural reasons, including those from Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background.

Company share options

Around 35% of our employees are shareholders, with ownership across regions and role levels. Our ownership model is underpinned by Shareholding Principles: a belief that success is built on the achievements and contributions of all of us. It's about empowering exceptional people – giving those who are making a sustained contribution the opportunity to purchase shares and become owners of the company.

Gender affirmation support

In addition to the support we already provide to any permanent employee going through a gender affirmation process, we now offers four weeks paid leave to support gender affirmation.

Career development and growth

Employee awards program

Our annual Wattle Awards recognise and celebrate the hard work and achievements of our employees that are making everyday better for our people, clients and communities. Hey, maybe you might be a future Wattle Award winner?

Empower Intermediate Programme

Intermediate-level employees undergo a two-year development programme designed to build capability in areas that are important for you and your career success. It's also an opportunity to connect with your colleagues and the wider team, and work with other intermediates to gain tips and tricks to effectively navigate your career.

Development opportunities and programs

No matter your career level, you can access a range of online courses in areas to develop your skills. Our ‘MyPotential’ program aligns to the direction of the business and how your individual effort align, providing clarity on what your key priorities are. It also supports what drives and motivates you, and what you want to achieve in your career long-term.

Employee Assistance Program

We're committed to prioritising the safety and wellbeing of our people in a practical way. Teamwork and trust underpin our commitment to creating a sustainable work environment, and through our Employee Assistance Program, you will have to access support and coaching anytime you need to be your best self.

Employee-led social groups

We have a range of employee affinity groups that connect our people, increase a sense of inclusion, and raise awareness of certain topics. Groups include the Green Team (sustainability), Gender at Beca, Reconciliation Action Plan team and the Intermediates Committee. You can also join our office-based social clubs that run social activities and entertainment, in and out of the working environment.

Mentor and mentee opportunities

Our people have an extensive pool of knowledge and experience, offering you the chance to grow and develop your career. Through this relationship, you can support each other’s interests and career goals, develop your professional knowledge and skills, and help make the best-informed career choices.
